According to the processing purpose, different grit abrasive belts can be used for grinding and polishing. When manufacturing large equipment, it is often necessary to clean, grind and polish the surface of a large-area metal plate. Due to the large area of the workpiece to be processed, conventional grinding equipment cannot meet its processing requirements and has low work efficiency.
The long belt grinding machine is a CNC device that realizes automatic grinding of the outer surface of metal plates, including a base with tracks on both sides, a walking gantry is provided on the track, and a grinding head driven by a drag chain to move laterally on the crossbeam of the gantry, as well as a dust collection device. The workpiece remains stationary, and the grinding head drives the sanding belt to rotate at high speed, and the press wheel pressed on the sanding belt moves laterally to grind the workpiece. The surface roughness Ra value of the workpiece is reduced through the friction between the polishing abrasive and the workpiece surface.
